Pedicab South End Take-Out Ride Service Area

Right now we’re offering service in the South End of Boston, Which is roughly defined (for pedicab drivers) as between Columbus Avenue to Harrison Avenue, and between Massachusetts Avenue to Arlington/Herald Streets.

Below is a map outlining the area more specifically if you’re wondering if your restaurant or home falls within this service area.

Pricing for Pedicab Take-Out

Yes, drivers accept credit card, debit card, and electronic payment (Venmo, etc.)!

Physical distancing is important right now, and swapping cash brings people close. That’s why our driver’s we’re also comfy with magical electronic money, like credit cards, electronic payments, and all that. (Just please remember, your driver has to pay extra fees for some payment platforms. Why not sneak a little extra on top of that tip for their trouble?)

For what you would have spent on dinner drinks anyway you get something just as fun and way more uplifting!

As you know, in normal times Pedicab Drivers are paid on an “open fare” system. You give them what you think the ride was worth.

But these aren’t normal times.
So The TrikeHub is stepping in to temporarily stabilize pedicab pricing during the Boston restriction period. A simplified, reduced-cost system to help you know what to pay a driver.

  • Shorter than about 0.25 miles = $5 for a one-way ride (plus tip)

  • Between 0.25 and 0.5 miles = $10 for a one-way ride (plus tip)

  • Between 0.5 and 0.75 miles = $15 for a one-way ride (plus tip)

  • Round trip? Just double the one-way price.
(Don’t forget to tip extra if the pedicab driver has to wait for you!)

Your driver can let you know the correct price. Likewise, participating partner restaurants can often quickly let you know when you place your order.

Remember:
we still love our customary generous tips, if you can swing it!

Please remember all pedicab drivers and operations are already operating at a massive deficit right now. We are hard hit. Getting out there at all is helping us, so please try and remember that, in the end, your generosity is what keeps the pedals turning!
